Flush DNS

I haven't tested this one yet, but apparently there is a DNS cleaner script:

/etc/init.d/dns-clean start | stop | restart | force-reload

According to one site I read issuing the start command is all that is needed. And, for whatever reason, it states it should never be run while ppp is up.

man - Manuals. Built-in documentation for programs. From man -a intro: "Under Linux there are GUIs (graphical user interfaces), where you can point and click and drag, and hopefully get work done without first reading lots of documentation. The traditional Unix environment is a CLI (command line interface), where you type commands to tell the computer what to do. That is faster and more powerful, but requires finding out what the commands are."

man -f name

ADVANCED SEARCH - Results from descriptions and manual pages

man -k regexp

ALL - Queue matching  pages from all sections

man -a name

PDF - Send PS output to a PDF file

man -t name | ps2pdf manPage.pdf

Of course, there's also the wonderful online versions at manpages.ubuntu.com.
